Campeche Tarpon Bay is a baby tarpon fishery located in the city of Campeche on the western side of the Yucatan. Campeche, a beautiful colonial city, has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the abundance of historic landmarks located within the city limits.
You will spend four full days chasing baby tarpon in the mangrove lined creeks, channels and lagoons along with the open water bays of the Los Petenes Biosphere Reserve. Schools of tarpon in the 5 to 30 pound range are often found here and are willing to eat a well presented fly.
Your home for this hosted trip is the seafront Ocean View Hotel, conveniently located near the fishing dock, restaurants and a short walk to Old Town Campeche. After fishing you can enjoy a refreshing swim in their pool before heading out on the town for great food and cold drinks.
