An often overlooked fact is that Hungary is actually where driven shooting as we know it today originated. As a result shooting here is steeped in tradition especially when you travel north east of Budapest, into the foothills of the Matra Mountains. The landscape here lends itself ideally to pheasant shooting, and we have access to some excellent shoots. The birds are of good quality with accommodation to match in a recently renovated local castle. Budapest, of course, provides an excellent option should you wish to extend your stay for some sightseeing, and we would be happy to make arrangements for you.
1st October – 28th February. Shooting is permitted on Sunday

It can be very cold in Eastern Europe, especially later in the season. Waterproof coat and traditional shooting clothing combined with fleece layers and thermal underwear to cope with a wide temperature range. Neoprene wellingtons or warm boots recommended.
Eastern European cities such as Budapest and Prague provide wonderful distractions for non-shooting companions or an ideal venue for a day or two of exploration before or after your shooting trip. Remember to take eye and ear protection.
