River Plate
Entre Rios Province quite literally translates into "between rivers" province and as the name suggests this makes it a fantastic destination for duck shooting. Drawing from three major water systems fed by different drainages, this region is a composite of rich agricultural land surrounded by vast forests and marshes with abundant rainfall year round, which encourages vast numbers of waterfowl. The coveted rosy-billed pochard is the dominant species, and other species, such as yellow-billed pintail and assorted teal, are also present in large numbers to provide variety. Couple these morning duck flights with an afternoon of dove shooting or walked up perdiz shooting, and you have the basis for a fantastic and varied shooting holiday.
River Plate Wingshooting is owned and operated by Luis Brown, and blends this exceptional varied shooting with relaxed living in the southern Entre Rios area. Ably guided with days smoothly organized, you will shoot the ducks over decoys, doves under flight lines on changing terrain, and have the opportunity for walked up perdiz over pointers – each species in good numbers.
In Entre Ríos, accommodations are provided at elegant estancias. Estancia El Rincón offers 7 bedrooms and 4 baths. Estancia Santa Rosa offers 5 bedrooms and 5 baths. Estancia El Rincón can comfortably accommodate a group of up to 10 hunters, Estancia Santa Rosa up to 8 hunters. Parties of 6 or more secure the estancia for their private use. Groups less than 6 will likely be combined with smaller parties.
