For those seeking a remote and reasonably priced destination to fish for a variety of bluewater species, Rancho Leonero Resort is the perfect place. The lodge is approximately an hour south of La Paz and an hour north of the Los Cabos Airport. This lush, old-world Baja resort is a fishing, snorkeling and kayaking paradise. It features more than two miles of private unspoiled beach, a swimming pool and views overlooking the azure calm Sea of Cortez. The meals at the lodge are plentiful and delicious with both American and Mexican cuisine offered.
Experienced local captains take anglers to the most productive fishing the East Cape has to offer. Most fishing is within a half-hour boat ride from the lodge. Dorado, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, sailfish, striped marlin and the magnificent roosterfish provide fantastic mixed-bag opportunities.
Rancho Leonero offers guests various options on rooms; from main lodge rooms to spacious ocean view bungalows, all equipped with air-conditioning for your comfort. The lodge is a relaxing all-inclusive resort that is ideal for both families and serious angler alike.
The lodge provides all conventional fishing gear. For those who prefer fly fishing, plan on bringing your 10, 12 and 14 wts. We recommend booking a fly fishing guide. Frontiers works with two well-known and accomplished fly fishing guides in Cabo. Call for more details.
Los Cabos is easily accessed by many gateway cities in the U.S. There is no minimum stay or set arrival or departure day. For a U.S. citizen, a passport that is valid for 6 months after the last day of your trip is required. Residents of other countries should check with their consulate for entry requirements.
Please contact Frontiers for rates as they vary based season, accommodations and boat choice.
