Alaska Trophy Adventure Lodge, September 2018

Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge

9th - 17th September 2018

160 private acres within Katmai National Park on the fish rich Alagnak River

The Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge is located in the Bristol Bay region of Katmai National Park and sits on 160 private acres of prime river frontage in an iconic section of the Alagnak River known as the Upper Braids. Bush plane access is a 25 minute flight from King Salmon. The complex is made of high quality wooden cabins and a main lodge where all meals are served. The Lodge is located 6 miles upstream from the confluence of the Kukaklek and Nonvianuk rivers where they form the Alagnak. Their fleets of jet boats access all 3 rivers and all the many species that swim through these rivers.

The trip starts with an overnight in Anchorage followed by an early flight to King Salmon, AK where guests will then charter privately into the Lodge. You will have 6 full days of fishing to follow. Our final day we charter back to King Salmon for commercial flight service to Anchorage and homeward.

The ATA Lodge is tastefully laid out on a stunning piece of the Alagnak River. The main Lodge has a comfy dining room and makes a great place for socializing. Guests stay in one of eight out-cabins or chalets, which vary in size. Expect comfortable beds and plenty of amenities during your stay.

Deluxe package is $5,495 pp. Includes all meals, 6 days of lodge based activity, whether it be fishing, wildlife viewing or adventure activities. Comfy heated river-front cabin with private bath/shower. All fishing gear provided. Sunday-Sunday schedule A charter fee of $300 pp is excluded.

Trip Specifics

Fly commercial to Anchorage and overnight or fly onto King Salmon. The Lodge meets you in King Salmon to charter direct to the lodge. All guests need to be at the King Salmon airport by 9:00 am on your entry day. This means that you will need to either arrive on the first flight in the morning from Anchorage, or arrive the night before and stay in King Salmon at a local hotel. Lodge flights start in the morning around 10:00 AM from King Salmon. On your final day we encourage guests to schedule a late afternoon flight out of King Salmon to Anchorage in order not to miss your connecting flights.

Introducing your Host

Bob White

Trip Host

Bob’s life and his adventures are the result of a misspent youth. Instead of doing homework,
he pursued his outdoor passions, and when not afield, his nose was in the sporting books
and magazines of the day. Consequently, he has wandered between Alaska and Patagonia,
guiding fly fishermen and bird hunters for over three decades. In addition to guiding in
southwest Alaska since 1984, he has guided and hosted sportsmen in Argentina, Chile,
Kamchatka, Cuba, the Bahamas, and many other destinations. In 1988 Bob was named Fly
Rod & Reel magazine’s Guide of the Year. When not guiding or hosting departures, Bob can
be found in Marine on St. Croix, Minnesota with his wife, Lisa, daughter Tommy, and their
awesome flat coat retriever, Frisbee.
