We think the two Alphonse Island beach retreats villas combined with the world-class flats and bluewater fishing, and the superb diving, make for a very rare and potentially unique offering. The villas are very spacious with large open-plan seating and dining areas. They enjoy all the fishing and diving facilities but have complete privacy away from the other accommodation on the island. We struggle to think of a more private or better accommodation combined with the calibre of mixed-species bluewater and flats fishing, with guides and dive staff to match, anywhere in the world.

Fishing

For two decades Alphonse Island has been at the top of everyone's saltwater flats fishing list. There is nowhere in the world which touches the quality of the bonefishing and only other atolls in the Seychelles can match the depth of species. The diving and snorkelling are of equal caliber.

Accommodation

The two 600 sq/m villas seamlessly blend traditional Creole style such as thatched roofs using local material with polished screed floors and open wooden beams reflecting a fresh island style. They overlook perfect beaches lapped by the Indian Ocean, sea flats and protected coral reefs.

Gear

For fishing, an 8 or 9-wt outfit for bonefish and permit, 10-wt for the triggerfish and milkfish and a 12-wt for the GT’s and bluewater. A complete fishing and diving gear list will be sent upon confirmation. Frontiers can provide expert advice on sourcing the right equipment for your trip.

Trip Specifics

Best routes to the Seychelles are either direct from London on British Airways (some days of the week), via Dubai on Emirates or via Doha on Qatar. An overnight will most likely be required to be ready for the flight to Alphonse the next morning. Flights go into Alphonse Island at least twice a week and more variation is possible. On arrival you will be shown to your villa and planning for your week will commence with a host of fishing, diving and eco-activities to choose from as well as enjoying the spa. Dinners can be planned at various lovely locations around the island.

Rates

Please discuss numbers in your party and your activities preference with us and we will give you a full quotation. Four spacious double bedrooms per villa, all with luxurious island-style en-suite bathrooms and outside shower areas. Each Beach Villa sleeps up to eight adults and four children.
