Bristol Bay Lodge offers fishing for all 5 species of Pacific salmon, Alaska's famous leopard-spotted rainbow trout, sea-run dolly varden, arctic char, grayling and northern pike. The most unique aspect of this operation is their exclusive overnight out-camps, Birch Creek and Rainbo. No one else can offer this unique rotation schedule which combines day and overnight fishing trips, first-class accommodations and attentive service. For an impeccably run fishing operation, look no further than Bristol Bay Lodge. The fishing area includes Wood, TikChik, Nushagak, Togiak and Goodnews Rivers.
A guest favorite for an unparalleled fly-out fishing experience, the lodge is strategically located in the heart of North America's largest state park, Wood-Tikchik. With such pristine surroundings at this private hideaway, guests can expect to catch a great abundance and variety of fish.
The 8 guest rooms in the main lodge are arranged for single or double occupancy, with queen or double beds. Each has a private bathroom, comfortable furnishings and at-home ambiance. The 3 cabins separate from the main lodge have living and bedrooms, bathroom, wet bars and fireplaces.
Six and 8 wt. or 5 and 7 wt. rods and cold water lines are recommended. Conventionally-lightweight rod/reel for smaller fish and a 6-7 ft. medium action rod for salmon. Lightweight reel should hold 150 yards of 6-8 lb. mono. Salmon reels should hold at least 150 yards of 12-15 lb. mono.
Fly commercially to Anchorage then on to Dillingham, AK. It is important to note 2 non-consecutive nights at the out-camps are obligatory in the trip stay. Each camp is fully equipped and staffed with two guides and a camp chef. Tents on wooden platforms have beds with extra warm sleeping bags and polar fleece liners. A cooking/dining tent provides plenty of room for meal preparation and a gathering place in the evening. Most people find this to be the highlight of their trip and a unique contrast and complement to the comforts of the lodge.
$14,950 pp/per week. Includes meals/beverages, private flights from/to Anchorage, fly-out fishing, fishing license and King stamp, 2X1 angler/guide, all flies/lures, waders/boots, rods/reels, vacuum sealing of salmon, and wet-lock fish box. Excludes gratuities and gift shop purchases.
