Casa Blanca Lodge has received rave reviews from anglers since it opened more than 20 years ago. Located on the island of Punta Pajaros within the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, the guides have access to both Ascension Bay and the Santa Rosa lagoon. The biosphere's stringent regulations and Casa Blanca's strict catch-and-release policy ensure great fishing for years to come. Casa Blanca and its sister lodge, Playa Blanca, are the only lodges in the Yucatan fishing from traditional flats skiffs. Fish from the boat or wade the hard white sand flats.

Fishing

Though it is primarily a bonefish and permit destination, tarpon and snook also inhabit Ascension Bay. With its rivers, mangrove-lined lagoons and classic white sand flats, the bay is a marvel of tropical diversity, offering the fisherman a memorable fishing experience.

Accommodation

Nine spacious, air-conditioned waterfront rooms are featured with tile floors, comfortable beds and private bathroom with shower. The main lodge and sitting area is a thatched roof palapa; a perfect place to eat meals and rehash your day over drinks.

Gear

As a general rule, a 7- or 8-wt. outfit for the bonefish, 9- or 10-wt. outfit for the permit, both with tropical saltwater floating lines. A complete gear list will be sent upon confirmation. Frontiers can provide expert advice on finding the right gear for your trip.

Trip Specifics

In order to complete the transfer to the lodge the same day, your arrival flight to Cancun must arrive by 2pm. The lodge is accessed via a 55 minute charter flight south along the coast followed by a short boat ride to the Casa Blanca dock. For your departing flight from Cancun, any flight departing after 11am is fine.

The standard package Saturday to Saturday operation.
You must possess a passport valid for 6 months after the last day of the trip.

Rates

Open year-round with summer month limits, rates based on a 7N/6D package, shared occupancy and boat. 2025 High Season: February-June double occupancy/boat $6,915; Low Season: July-January 2024 double occupancy/boat $6,526. Single and non-angler rates are available.
