Fishing

Truly unique sight fishing experience fishing gin-clear waters of Mount Aspiring National Park & the West Coast. Daily heli flyouts are included in the package. Experience a breathtaking flight before testing your angling skills casting to New Zealand’s healthy and keen trophy browns and rainbows!

Accommodation

The lodge is comprised of four guest rooms, a lounge, and a dining area. Rooms are double occupancy with two twins or a king bed with all the modern conveniences including in-room Wi-Fi.

Gear

Bring a 6-wt. fly rod, along with rubber-soled wading boots (felt-soled boots are not allowed in New Zealand). In most cases, the lodge can provide all flies, leaders, and any equipment needed. Quality raingear and polarized glasses are essential. Dress in layers; we suggest neutral colors.

Trip Specifics

Perfect for anglers and non-anglers alike. Besides world-class helicopter fly fishing led by highly knowledgeable and experienced local guides, lodge guests can enjoy mountain biking, heli-hiking, and intimate tours of New Zealand’s most renowned wineries. Capacity is 8 people in 4 double-occupancy rooms with en suite bathrooms. The lodge is accessed commercially from the Queenstown airport (2-hour drive or helicopter transfer) or charter plane to Makarora airstrip.

Rates

High season rates are $1,750 per person, per day based on double occupancy and two anglers per guide. Includes all accommodations, meals, liquor, guiding services, & daily helicopter fly-out (weather permitting). Single occupancy & shorter/longer packages available.
