Chile
Spanning a full 50 percent of the length of South America, Chile is a country of unparalleled diversity, beauty and an outdoor adventurers dream. To the north, the Atacama desert is one of the highest and driest mineral rich deserts in the world. Looking South nearly to Drakes Passage, the Torres Del Paine national park has made the region of “Patagonia” a household word. Bordered to the east by the Andes Mountains – one of the world’s longest mountain ranges - and west by the Pacific Fjords are hundreds of the finest trout streams to be found anywhere. In only a few hundred miles of width, this country plummets from the summit of the Andes chain of mountains to the Pacific ocean aggressively oxygenating these rivers and producing prolific biomass for rainbow, brown and brook trout as well as growing number of Pacific salmon species.
