As you all know, Hurricane Dorian battered the Bahamas but left Delphi Club almost miraculously untouched. The relief efforts have occupied much of the Delphi Club's attention since the storm hit, funded by all the generous GoFundMe donations. While that work continues they have also been busy getting ready for the opening of their new season.
We are delighted to announce that Delphi is now officially open for business! We welcomed our first guests this past week and on Saturday we were 21 at the dinner table including our first outside diners of the season.
It is great to be back! Fishermen went to Sandy Point, the Marls, Cherokee, and Crossing Rocks on our three new Hells Bay skiffs and we are delighted to report that the fishing appears unaffected by Dorian with over 40 fish hooked in 3 days including some shots at two permit, plus one 25 pound barracuda!
So come on down and visit us! While Marsh Harbour airport remains off-limits to US airlines for the time being, there are five flights a day on Bahamas Air from Nassau to Marsh Harbour between 7 am and 5.45 pm, making connections from the US and Europe relatively uncomplicated.
Abaco needs you, so come and enjoy a fabulous fishing holiday with your friends and family and know that coming to Abaco is the best way you can help this island recover.
