Enchanted Lake Lodge

Waterfront on Enchanted Lake, Katmai National Park, Southwest Alaska

In contrast to the untamed surroundings, Enchanted Lake Lodge provides the luxury and service you would expect from a world-class fishing lodge. Set within Katmai National Park on 54 acres of privately-owned land, the lodge is ideally located for quick and easy access to the best streams and rivers of the Alaskan Peninsula. The Lodge specializes in giant rainbow trout fishing with dry flies (an Enchanted Lake Lodge specialty) and streamers in the early season, to egg and flesh patterns August through September, to the massive ‘bows taking streamers again in the late season.

Fishing

Fishing from Enchanted Lake Lodge is on a daily fly-out basis using the lodge's own DeHavilland Beaver floatplanes. Depending on the river and conditions, fishing is accessed with a short hike from the plane, by scenic raft float trips or by jet boat on some of the larger rivers in the region.

Accommodation

Enchanted Lake Lodge provides unrivaled luxury in a remote wilderness setting. The window-lined dining room delivers a grand panoramic view while dinner is served by the lodge's chef. Enjoy the wood-fired sauna and your private guest cabin with en-suite bathroom, heat and 24-hour electric.

Rods: 9/9.5 ft. 5 or 6 wt. and a 9/9.5 ft. 7/8 wt. for larger rivers.
