Fishing
With easy access to Ascension Bay and the inside lagoon system which runs north towards Boca Paila, you have plenty of fishing options during the day. Bonefish are most plentiful, however, permit rule for many visiting anglers. Tarpon, snook, jacks, snapper and barracuda are also available.
Accommodation
Six beachfront villas, each featuring 2 rooms with modern contemporary interiors, king-sized beds, air-conditioning, 24-hour electricity, and satellite television, you will have all the comforts of home. The main lodge features the Kai restaurant, bar, comfortable lounge area and more.
Gear
As a general rule, a 7- or 8-weight outfit for the bonefish, 9- or 10-weight outfit for the permit, both with tropical saltwater floating lines. A complete gear list will be sent upon confirmation. Frontiers can provide expert advice on finding the right gear for your trip.
Trip Specifics
The lodge is easily accessed via Cancun. It’s a 2-hour ride south in an air-conditioned van to the Ultimo Maya Pier near Tulum where you will meet your guide who will complete the remaining 55 minute transfer to the lodge by boat through the inside lagoon system. Activities for the non-angler include swimming, snorkeling, walking the beach and more. Off-site visits to a blue-hole cenote or the Mayan ruins in Tulum can be arranged for an additional fee.
You must possess a passport valid for 6 months after the last day of your trip.
