Healing Waters Lodge has a stellar reputation as one of the superior fly fishing lodges in the scenic Ruby Valley. Owner Steve Mackey has recently taken the reigns and is excited to continue the outstanding service and warm hospitality that has made Healing Waters Lodge a perennial favorite. The Lodge’s success is built upon the foundation of personal attention to all guests. There are several blue-ribbon rivers that are accessible within a short drive and a variety of private water leases available as well. Their guides enjoy sharing their passion for fly fishing and their love for Montana!

Fishing

Four major rivers are within striking distance to Healing Waters Lodge. You can float the larger rivers, like the Madison, Jefferson, Big Hole, or Beaverhead. If you prefer to wade, you can test your skills on local spring-fed streams, the Ruby River.

Accommodation

You are accommodated in individually themed rooms with a capacity of 18 guests. The Lodge offers views in every direction with a fishing pond surrounded by cottonwood trees. Enjoying delicious food is a focal point of your stay, with the chef using local ingredients for most dishes and entrées.

Gear

We will provide a complete gear list. The Lodge also has a fly shop on-site. We like 4- to 6-wt. rods (depending on the streams you’re fishing) with floating lines. Be sure to bring quality rain gear, polarized sunglasses, waders, and a hat for sun protection. Dress in layers!

Trip Specifics

The Lodge offers packages from three to six nights in length. The closest commercial airport is Bozeman (BZN). The airport is approximately one hour from the Lodge. Rental vehicle is recommended, but we can arrange airport transfers at an additional fee. If you want to stay longer, fish less and/or sightsee, go to Yellowstone National Park, horseback ride, play golf, or just enjoy the day hanging out at the Lodge, please let us know. We can customize a package to fit your travel interests.
