Superb golden dorado fishing staying at a luxurious family owned estancia.

After the success of our hosted golden dorado fishing trip to Don Joaquin River Lodge at the end of 2023 we are planning another trip for early 2025. This is a great opportunity to fish for dorado in a variety of environments, from the smaller Corriente River to the delta with the Parana and the large Parana River itself. We caught lots of dorado in the 2-5 lbs range and we all also landed much bigger fish in the mid-teens. 

Don Joaquin is a family owned and operated lodge. It overlooks the river and is extremely comfortable. As well as the fishing lodge the family also own and operate a large farm and a horse riding operation nearby so there is a lot to do for non-fishers too. We all felt that not only had we enjoyed the fishing here but we had also had a real insight into live on an estancia in Argentina.

The dates for our hosted trip are 16-23rd March 2025 (other dates are also available). This means you can tie this trip in with some sea-trout further south in Argentina if you feel like a longer trip.

The cost is $4750 per person for 7 nights and 6 days fishing, including full board single accommodation and drinks. Other length stays and rates are available.
