Long Caye Outpost Lodge, sister property to Belize River Lodge, is approximately a 40 min boat ride from the main lodge, and caters to anglers, those looking for relaxation and eco-tour guests. Long Caye offers excellent service and tasty cuisine in beautiful idyllic scenery.

Long Caye Island Resort sits on the front of Long Caye overlooking Belize’s Barrier Reef, offering spectacular views of the sparking blue-green waters of the Caribbean Sea and is neighbors, Caye Chapel, St. George’s Caye, Miami Beach and Caye Caulker. This resort provides the perfect get-away-from-it-all vacation.

Fishing

Fishing at Long Caye offers some of Belize’s best waters for all 3 flats species. Anglers have a choice to fish early and/or fish late. Start off early, come back to the Island for lunch or “slack tides,” take a “siesta” and then fish late into the evening. Your island; your choice!

Accommodation

The resort has 3 bedrooms, each with 2 twin beds and 1 shared bathroom, catering to intact groups of up to 4-6 people. The main building has a full veranda overlooking the beach and sea. The rooms have ceiling fans and power is from a generator which will run while you are visiting.

Gear

Bring outfits in 8, 10, and 12 wts. with tropical saltwater floating lines to cover all species. A complete gear list with detailed information will be sent upon confirmation. Frontiers can provide expert advice on the right gear for your trip. Rental gear is available from the main lodge.

Trip Specifics

Belize is a 2 1/2-hour flight from several US gateway cities (Miami, Houston, Dallas and Atlanta). Long Caye Outpost Lodge is approximately 45 minutes by boat from the main lodge. Guests check in at Belize River Lodge, and then transfer with their guide(s) for their duration of their stay on the island. No Wi-Fi available on the island. For guests/fishermen planning a weeklong stay, we recommend a combination Belize River Lodge and Long Caye trip. You will have the best of both properties!
For US citizens, a passport that is valid for 6 months after the last day of your trip is required.
