The main island, Gran Roque, where you will stay in a comfortable posada (boutique hotel) is small and quaint. There are no motor vehicles, just sandy streets and colonial architecture. However, there are plenty of good restaurants and bars to visit in the evening and watch the sun go down. The food in the posada is also excellent and there is a real feeling of relaxation making it an ideal trip for non-fishing family members.
