In the heart of southwestern Montana, Madison Valley Ranch is just 70 miles from Yellowstone National Park and is easily accessible from the Bozeman Airport. As the 2015 Orvis-Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge of the Year, our friends on the Madison have an incredible river at their doorstep and others nearby. Daily float or wade trips with experienced, professional, Orvis-endorsed guides keep experts challenged while providing guidance, enthusiasm, and patience to novices—getting them "hooked!" At the Madison Valley Ranch, you are ensured privacy, luxury, and a customized experience.

Fishing

Whether you prefer the challenge of wade fishing or the comfort of drift boats, Madison Valley Ranch has catered to beginner and advanced fly fishermen for over 15 years. The team knows every riffle and seam in the Madison, Big Hole, Beaverhead, Ruby, Gallatin, and Yellowstone Rivers.

Accommodation

Three different room options—the Main Lodge, the Channels Lodge, or the Cabins—accommodate a total of 20-24. A great room, game rooms, and broad porches provide relaxing places to converse, check emails with Wi-Fi, or watch TV. You can book the fully-equipped conference space for corporate meetings.

Gear

We will provide a thorough packing list. Orvis rods, reels, and waders available. We like 5- and 6- wt. rods (depending on the streams you are fishing) with floating lines. Be sure to bring quality raingear, polarized sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection.

Trip Specifics

The lodge offers 3- to 6-night packages. The closest commercial airport is Bozeman (BZN), which is serviced by Delta, Alaska/Horizon, United, Frontier, and Allegiant. The airport is approximately 1 hour from the Ranch. We can arrange airport transfers at an additional fee. If you want to stay longer, fish less and/or sightsee more, go to Yellowstone National Park, horseback ride, play golf, or just enjoy the day hanging out at the Ranch, please let us know. We can customize a package; nonfishers are welcome!
