The Alphonse Fishing Company portfolio of exclusive trips in the Seychelles has grown by one with the new MY A’Mani liveaboard, a 54 foot motor catamaran offering fly fishing, reef fishing and big game trips to the Amirantes group of islands. Perfect for a group of four intact anglers, with no pre-set schedule, you may explore the islands of Poivre, African Banks, Sand Key and Remire to name a few. Refitted for sport-fishing with a fighting chair and outriggers; the boat also has kayaks and snorkeling equipment for those interested in another type of adventure.
With the variety of fishing options, big game trolling and fly fishing, reef fishing and fly fishing the flats, you’ll have the chance to catch a smorgasbord of fish species including sailfish, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, grouper, snapper, jobfish, bonefish, triggerfish, GT and bluefin trevally and more.
The MY A’Mani, a 54 ft. motor catamaran, is stable, spacious and its shallow draft allows anchoring in calmer lea waters. All four guest cabins and indoor areas are fully air-conditioned. There are two communal showers and toilets. The fore-deck offers two trampolines and sun loungers.
As a general rule, an 8 or 9-wt. outfit for bonefish and permit, 10-wt. for the triggerfish and milkfish and a 12-wt. for the GT’s and bluewater. A complete gear list will be sent upon trip confirmation. Frontiers can provide expert advice on finding the right gear for your trip.
Guests need to arrive in Mahe the day before departure. The charter flight to Alphonse departs the following morning from the IDC Hanger. On your arrival, you will be transferred to the MY A’Mani which will immediately depart for the Amirantes Islands. The scheduled charter flights allow for seven, ten and fourteen night trips. There are two crew members along with two Alphonse Fishing Co. guides who will cater to all of your needs. The chef will prepare a mixture of Creole and international food. Fresh fish can be served on a daily basis, if requested.
The rate is $3,100 per day plus $125 landing fee per person, per island if you go ashore. The r/t charter flight is $700 per person. Conservation donation: $25 per day. Includes: Guided fishing, meals, non-alcoholic drinks. Excludes: Flights, Mahe expenses, gratuities, bar tab, personal expenses.
