River Plate Anglers

Peacock Bass fishing in remote Amazon Rivers via innovative shallow water techno

For fly and conventional fishers, mobility and the capability to bypass low water and natural barriers is the key to untapped peacock bass fishing in the most remote reaches of Brazil's Amazon Basin. Drawing from only 4-inches of water, River Plate’s floating cabins can comfortably navigate these barriers and reposition daily to unfished areas throughout their exclusive privately leased fishing grounds on multiple waterways north and south of the equator.

Fishing

Using a unique fly-in floating cabin system, RPA offers fly fishing only and conventional angling departures in the clear and black water systems of the Brazilian Amazon. Superb access to secluded rivers, massive lagoons and forgotten oxbow lakes keep anglers in solid numbers of big aggressive fish.

Accommodation

Comfortably appointed double occupancy ultra-shallow draft live-aboard guest cabins with full amenities and dining/bar barge host anglers deep in the amazon jungle. Stunning white sand beaches become one’s scenic front porch and tropical social gathering area.

Gear

RPA offers fly fishing and conventional tackle departures, a full Frontiers gear/fly/lure list will be provided upon booking. Fast action 8-wt. fly and medium stiff spinning rods, tropic weather lines and clothing are essential as is equatorial sun protection.

Trip Specifics

July to March season. Trips begin and end in Manaus, Brail – offering a major international airport. Highly mobile, air-conditioned floating cabins accommodate 8 guests each week. Multiple Amazon Rivers are offered north and south of the equator - call Frontiers for seasonal and river availability. This program does not accept single anglers. Groups of less than four may be cancelled by the outfitter. Strict 45-pound luggage weight limit is enforced. Brazilian Visas are required for US citizens. Citizens of other countries should consult Frontiers or your consulate.
