Tikchik Narrows Lodge

Amazing peninsula lodge with every imaginable species and daily fly-out fishing

The Lodge is in the Bristol Bay region of SW Alaska in the Wood-Tikchik State Park. Westward lies the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge with more than 4.7 million acres. The Wood-Tikchik system has 13 major lakes with the western edge extending into beautiful fjords and the rugged Kilbuck Mountains. The Togiak contains 3 major river systems draining into the Kilbuck Mountains to the southwest. Accessible only by float plane, the lodge is 300 miles from the nearest connecting roads system. Unlike other Alaskan Lodges, Tikchik Narrows is totally isolated and not located in a town or village.

Fishing

Salmon, rainbow/lake trout, char, grayling and pike can be caught in the “Narrows” right in front of the lodge. Excellent fishing is also reachable by boats which access nearby local rivers, along with terrific lake fishing which includes Nuyukuk, Tikchik and Chauekuktuli lakes. Fly-outs included.

Accommodation

Double cabins have a separate entrance, private bath, heat and hot water. Most cabins have a queen and a single bed. Three cabins (6 rooms) have a queen bed and 2 singles. A limited number of single- occupancy rooms are available. There are 2 family cabins with a common living room for the 2 bedroom

Gear

Fly: Combo of 6- and 8-wt. fly-rod or a 5- and 7-wt. works well. Conventional: Lightweight rod/reel combo for smaller fish, and a medium-action rod (6-7 ft.) for salmon. The lightweight reel should hold 150 yds. of 6-8 lb. mono. Salmon reels should hold at least 150 yds. of 12-15 lb. mono.

Trip Specifics

Fly commercially to Anchorage of Friday and overnight at a recommended hotel. You will then fly to Dillingham, Alaska on Saturday via lodge arranged private air charter. A lodge representative will be in Dillingham to meet your flight and they will assist you with all luggage transfers and transportation to the float planes for the flight to the lodge. Return to Anchorage on the private charter at the conclusion of your stay.

Rates

$12,200 per person/per week. Price includes rt charter service Anchorage/Dillingham, meals, double lodging, guided fly-out fishing, tackle and equipment (rods, reels, lures, waders, boots, and flies), and transport between Dillingham and the lodge. Single occupancy available with a surcharge.
