Tsimane - Agua Negra Lodge

Tsimane is located within a National Park and Indigenous Territory where the Amazon Jungle meets the Andes in Bolivia. The landscape is incredible, and its rivers are streams of clear water running through the jungles and mountains with wading and sight-casting-friendly banks. Freshwater golden dorado are the target, and Agua Negra Lodge blends the best aspects of fly fishing: sight-casting, freestone wet wading, light fly tackle, and stalking four tenacious game fish species reaching significant sizes. In addition, the location also has great pacu, yatorana, and surubi fishing

Fishing

For six full days, you’ll fly fish the Agua Negra and its tribs, including the tiny but prolific Chimoro Jungle Creek. The Agua Negra is a smaller tributary of the Secure River and also includes remote out-camps where you can overnight camp during your stay. You’ll depart each day via dugout canoe.

Accommodation

The Agua Negra Lodge experience is based from one comfortable jungle lodge. It offers single-occupancy wooden cabins for just 4 guests per week. Each cabin has spring beds, private bathroom with flush toilet, hot water, and electric light.

Gear

As a general rule, 7 to 9 weight rods rigged with tropical grade floating/sinking lines. Wet wading is the standard. A complete list of gear will be sent upon trip confirmation. Frontiers can provide expert advice on finding the right gear for your trip.

Trip Specifics

Agua Negra Lodge is best accessed from Miami, Florida, via Aero Boliviano. Guests will fly into Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Included are 7 nights /6 days of fishing with two overnights at a 4-star hotel. You’ll take a charter flight from Santa Cruz to the lodge and return. The lodge generator and battery system offer 110/220 power. It is necessary to bring a converter for your electrical devices. 99% of the fishing is done by wet wading or fishing from the banks of the rivers. Temps; 65º F to 95º F.

7N/6D Fishing: $7600 pp.
