Wild brown and rainbow trout in stunning Argentina

Experience wild trout fishing on a multitude of remote streams, rivers and lakes

Argentina is one of our most popular destinations. From the north to the south, one country offers a huge variety of different landscapes, climates and types of fishing. Trout fishing in Patagonia is one that sometimes people overlook when they fly further south for the sea-trout in Tierra del Fuego, or north for the dorado fishing but it is an area you ignore at your peril with the breathtaking landscapes, world class trout fishing and superb food.

Patagonia is a huge area, bordered on the west by the Andes. There are some superb lodges offering access to mile upon mile of private lightly fished streams and rivers that you can walk and wade or fish from a drift boat while staying in very comfortable lodges with excellent food, often situated on enormous family owned estancias. There are also lakes that offer some enormous trout, both brown and rainbows. The rivers have excellent fly hatches and are often gin clear. Many lodges offer you the opportunity to fish a different bit of water every day.

We have years of experience of fishing this area and can find a lodge or lodges that suit you. Many of these lodges offer shorter stays so it is possible to combine two different areas and types of fishing. Generally the season is from November to April and these trips dovetail well with sea-trout fishing or a dorado trip.
