Slovenia

KNOWN FOR ITS STUNNING LANDSCAPES AND OUTDOOR ADVENTURES, SLOVENIA TRULY HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. FROM FLY FISHING A PRISTINE RIVER TO TAKING A STEP BACK INTO HISTORY AT ONE OF THE MANY CASTLES IN THE COUNTRYSIDE OR EXPLORING ONE OF SEVERAL UNDERGROUND CAVES, THERE IS NO SHORTAGE OF ACTIVITIES.

Fishing: The waters of Slovenia boast a variety of fish species including Marble, Brown, & Rainbow Trout, Grayling, and Huchen. The well-known Soca River in Western Slovenia is home to gorgeous Marble Trout and Grayling. The Sava River in the Eastern Region offers a mountain landscape that flattens to lowland limestone meadows where you can target Grayling, large Rainbow, & Brown Trout. The Central and Southern regions of Slovenia house limestone (Karst) rivers, with a similar flow to the English Chalk Streams. Fishing methods vary with the season and the body of water. Dry fly, nymph, or streamer are all popular techniques used and when it comes to what rod, 8.5-9 foot rods between 5-9 weights are most often used. If the idea of fly fishing in a picturesque landscape brings a smile to your face, then Slovenia should be your next destination.

Other Activities: There are many other activities available to visitors to Slovenia. You can explore the country's rich history & culture or other activities can be arranged, such as sightseeing, wine tasting, golfing, skiing, hiking, rafting, kayaking, and skydiving. Slovenia simply has something to entertain all that visit the beautiful nation.
