HF Bar Ranch has always been a working ranch. Its location and the surrounding wildlife have made the Ranch popular for generations. As they like to say, “over 100 years in the saddle.” Through the decades, the owners have gradually expanded the Ranch's ability to accommodate guests with style. Each cabin is uniquely and personally styled, and their comfortable-yet-rustic nature provides a true American West experience. It is a perfect setting for family and friends to enjoy the solitude and adventure that is the essence of HF Bar Ranch.

Fishing

Rock Creek Anglers is the outfitter for HF Bar Ranch. This highly personalized, Orvis-endorsed fly fishing guide service is conveniently located at the Ranch and has guided discriminating anglers from all over the world. The fishing is done by wading the rivers and creeks in central Wyoming.

Accommodation

HF Bar accommodates up to 100 guests in 30 private, comfortable rustic cabins. The differently sized cabins can meet the needs of various party sizes, from one to two guests to a large family of eight. Each cabin has 1-2 bathrooms, a covered porch, and a fireplace, and most overlook Rock Creek.

Gear

Your guide will provide all the necessary equipment, from rods and reels to terminal tackle, when you book your guided fishing trip. If you prefer to bring your gear, we suggest 4- to 6-wt. rods. Be sure to bring quality rain gear, waders, polarized sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection

Trip Specifics

Most guests enjoy a week-long stay at HF Bar Ranch—however, shorter packages are permitted depending on availability throughout the season. Fly to either Sheridan, Wyoming (40 minutes); Billings, Montana (2 hours); or Casper, Wyoming (2 hours). We can arrange ground transportation with the ranch at an additional cost, or you may rent a vehicle. In addition to guided à la carte fly fishing, HF Bar Ranch has many activities catering to all ages. Enjoy horseback riding, guided hiking, swimming in the Ranch's pool, clay bird shooting, and trips to the historic towns of Buffalo and Sheridan.

Rates

2021 Season: June–Sept.
$395 per person/night for adults and children over the age of 12.
$250 per child/night for ages 5–12.
$80 per child/night for ages 3–4.
Includes accommodations, meals, and horseback riding.
