Located south of Madrid, deep in La Mancha countryside, La Nava is perhaps the most highly regarded shoot in Spain. As one approaches up the drive, the first views of the lodge are spectacular with towering views overlooking the 4900 hectares which make up the shoot. Shooting
La Nava answers all the desires of any visiting gun to Spain. Want to shoot some really high birds? No problem. Want to shoot the more traditional Spanish partridges coming at you like grouse, maybe both in one day? No problem! La Nava has perfect terrain for shooting and knows how to use it.
Accommodation
With 17 rooms, a swimming pool, huge sitting areas (indoor and out), a stunning dining room, big gun room, a fine spa and a games room, La Nava provides some of the best accommodation for shooting there is in Spain. Absolutely no detail is spared from the identical vehicles to the gifts on your bed.
Gear
Casual, dull coloured clothing in the field with walking boots and rain gear just in case, with an extra layer for the mornings. Make sure you have eye and ear protection and shooting gloves for hot barrels! Evening attire is as your party wishes it - smart casual is the most common choice.
Trip Specifics
Shooting in Spain is always very easy. La Nava will pick you up from your hotel in Madrid or the airport, drive you 2 hours and 20 minutes to the lodge where you will settle in before dinner. Walk out the front door to your waiting vehicles, enjoy the day of shooting with taco and lunch outside in the field (weather permitting) before coming home to the spa, a siesta and dinner. The following day, shoot through, have lunch and return to the airport or your choice of hotel. Everything is taken care of and inclusive except tips to your loader and secretario.
